My late father would have loved Blue Sky because of all the photos of the birds posted here. After he retired he became a bird watcher. And then he began collecting small figurines of birds. His collection is the nicest remembrance I have of him.

Lately I've been doing horrible with scrolling. Substack has been amazing to add meaningful scrolls... but then I will watch a video of someone unrolling a roll of duct tape as fast as they can run and 😮‍💨

My favorite part of reading is when a book gets so good you have to set it down, (finger marking the page), and just let your mind be blown for a minute before picking it back up again.

Starting the year with ol' reliable. I loved this book then and love it still. 🥰

I genuinely hate that now companies get upset and frustrated that they need your permission to take your money. Girl, IT IS MY MONEY??? You somehow found your way through my locked card. Yeah, I'm calling fraud. Like who greenlit this? Why is consent a difficult concept for people to grasp?

Masterclass is by far the most annoying business. If I lock my card, unsubscribe online AND through the chat, and you STILL weasle your way and find a way to charge my LOCKED card???? Thank GOD my credit card company does NOT play about me.

I forget that sometimes company is nice.

I'm ending this year with 9 essays published. I feel very satisfied with that number as someone who started Nov 2nd and isn't even 2 months in. Can't wait to see what next year's numbers bring. 😌
