SagA continues and has an unexpected turn! In this work, we found that peptidoglycan hydrolase SagA modulates antibiotic susceptibility in vancomycin-resistant E. faecium. We identified first-in-class inhibitors of SagA that act as vancomycin adjuvant reducing infection in vivo. @scripps.edu
