SCOTUS Rulings - 🏛️ SCOTUS unanimously rejects DOJ argument - ⚖️ 9-0: cannabis doesn't bar gun rights - 🎥 Judge Dillard urges SCOTUS livestreaming

As I’ve said before, I think SCOTUS should make the decision (not Congress), but I am strongly in favor of the Court live-streaming (with video) its oral arguments. The justices are public servants, and the Court should be as transparent and accessible as possible to the people it serves.

It was wonderful to speak at the Arizona Judicial Conference yesterday with my amazing co-panelists: Justice Nathan Hecht, Judge Kim Mueller, and Professor Shawn Patterson. I met so many wonderful justices and judges this week, and I look forward to visiting Arizona again soon.

It’s just about that time.

This is a huge loss for my Court. Judge Brian Rickman has served our state with honor for the past decade on the Court of Appeals of GA, & I will miss having him as a colleague. I wish him all the best as he returns to private practice, & I know he will continue to be a credit to our profession.

I think of my Grandfather who fought in World War II and lost many of his friends/peers in this war. The only time I ever heard him mention ANYTHING about the war was when we went to the DC WWII Memorial and we were sitting for a second alone and I heard him say very softly, "We lost so many"...
