No amount of marketing advice or hustle culture bullshit about monetizing followers will fix the structural problems that make freelance art careers so difficult. Maybe spend more time asking why people can’t/don’t want to pay us? Why society can’t support us?

My #1 advice for new folks looking to break into comics!!! 1) Never, ever quit your day job. In fact, maintain that career for your entire life, never even thinking of it as a goal that one day you will work 'Full time in comics." Comics will not last. Your day job will.

Non-binary includes people who are masc-presenting, folks. So don't be so fucking shocked when someone who could pass as a cis man turns up to your "women and non-binary" events. Non-binary doesn't equal woman-lite.

Honestly need to be forbidden from doing big scenery splash, always gets out of hand…

Not exactly life advice but you could apply this to a lot of different things. The single most important aspect of anything design wise is "readability".
