Quite satisfying seeing Ancelotti go out in a knockout tournament when his team probably deserved to go through Given it’s normally other way round.

Again and again and again, a person losing their job at a Post-92 uni is every bit the equal of a person losing their job at a Russell Group uni. They might even be their collaborator. Or their editor. But hierarchy gets headlines.

With the 2015, for instance, the Tories went into the election with the public expecting a hung parliament, including voters on the right believing Red Ed could end up PM. And yet many former Tories still backed Farage. That exposed a severe limitation of Cameron, but wasn't interrogated.

Pension nerd question - lots of talk about long term decline in UK pension fund demand for gilts due to DB fund closures. BUT there’s a rapidly growing pool of DC assets, a reasonable chunk of which will start to be annuitised in the not too distance future. Won’t that create demand?
