One of the boy’s favorite things to watch is a Japanese YouTube channel called “Norimono Town.” My favorite part is that all of the vehicles are voiced-acted and sometimes you get a piece of heavy equipment that is also a sultry lady.

Good faith earnest curiosity is simply incompatible with the medium. There's no vector in a feed that optimizes for certainty, performance, tribal allegiance, prior stances. It asks the reader to participate instead of react; it assigns the audience work instead of giving them a stance to adopt.

we've had a persistent fruit fly problem for weeks. last time this happened, I made homemade traps that did nothing. This time I pessimistically put one out and within like four hours caught a baker's dozen.

A major weakness of the modern right is aesthetic tedium. So a key to taking back the narrative initiative is to art better. In ways that vault over the low bar of trad aesthetics. You have to be half-dead to not get bored by artistic production that endlessly panders to pre-1930s bourgeois tastes.

Ok, ごめんね、Bボーイ is up! Some quirky (and fairly lewd) little high school stories centered on the track and field club, all set to a medley of Japanese covers of American doo wop songs. It's 45 minutes long and based on a manga I know nothing about. Enjoy!

it's ironic that we, as men, go all the way to jupiter to get more stupider. the trip itself requires quite a bit of know-how and tech savvy. if we really cared about getting stupider, like we all claim, we would look into more sustainable stupidizing options

With the Fall 2025 anime season, Crunchyroll demonstrates zero respect for anime as a medium as the presentation quality of its subtitles reach an all-time low.
