Today, after months of requests, I toured the Broadview ICE Processing Facility. I want to share what I saw. The facility has no food vendor, no medical care, and detainees have to use toilets in the middle of shared cells. These are in no way suitable conditions to be holding anyone — period.

This is wild because PK and K are all about teaching you how to be human. Also, I've taught middle school math for 21 years and NOT ONE PERSON has ever referenced a student's PK math achievements. Ever.

This is absolutely correct. But donating goods works too: 1. Sometimes people donate what they already have 2. So many drives are held at schools. The kids need to SEE what they're contributing. It's a powerful visual they don't forget. Whatever help you can provide, it's needed.
