In the 1920s (Jewish) cousins of my great-grandparents were deported during the Red Scare. Under the same legal theory now used against a Palestinian. And now the ADL applauds. Shame on the ADL.

This is why we must fight for everyone. Whether they’ve been incarcerated or have had contact with the criminal legal system or are merely undocumented. When you accept that some people are deserving of detention and deportation the scope of who is eligible is always under threat of expanding.

It’s hard to explain the hope I had at the beginning of the pandemic. I was scared, but I also thought we were going to become a more inclusive society. We would care more about chronic illness. Having that hope ripped away and replaced with eugenics & fascism has been incredibly painful.
