We had a very enjoyable walk up and around Dundreich in the Scottish Borders last weekend. It was overcast but dry and we had good views - and chat. Our next day walk is at the end of October, all are welcome including non-members.

What a fantastic weekend in Torridon! Despite winter weather and strong winds, we all got out - climbed mountains, went kayaking, enjoyed wild swimming and gentle shore walks. Plus great food and a warm, comfy hut at Mol Mor, thanks to @n-t-s.bsky.social. To the Lake District for our October trip.

We had a great weekend away in Elphin recently, to the Grampian Speleological Club hut. We enjoyed a wide range of excursions: Conival & Ben More Assynt; Cul Mor; Cul Beag; Ben Hope; a plane wreck search; a coastal walk & swim and a cycle to Lochinver. Our next trip is to Torridon 18-21 September.

After weeks of glorious sunshine, the weather broke on Friday as we cycled in to Strawberry Cottage. Typical! But we were in a beautiful place, with great people, good craic, lovely shared meals - and a roaring fire in the hut for drying gear. I really love these weekends away!

It was a bit wet and windy but we had a lovely time in Glen Affric, last weekend. We even saw snow on the tops of the hills! The group enjoyed high & low level walks, long cycles and two delicious curries plus crumble and cake. Next trips are to Knoydart, Skye and Assynt. New members welcome!

A busy old day, what with the extreme fire risk warning coming into effect. Been roaming all over the estate putting advisory signs up and sniffing for smoke. Managed to fit our first Riverfly survey of the season in somehow too, with our fantastic volunteers 🙂 #rangerdailydiary

Since 2010, 80% of large outdoor fires in Scotland have been between March-May.🔥 2/3 were accidental. Campfires & disposable BBQs were among the common causes. Simply, there's no responsible way to have an open fire at High Risk times, like now. @scottishfirerescue.bsky.social #wildfireprevention
