Breezy night at Easter Road cheering on Hibs women against Inter Milan. A 4-1 deficit was always going to be hard to pull back, however 0-1 defeat tonight was harsh, not fully reflective of the match #GGTTH

Week 2 of the Love Music Community Choir autumn term. We had a few basses missing tonight but still a fun rehearsal at the Usher Hall. I will need to work on my Welsh pronunciation however.

Summoned my inner school master vibe to take part in Edinburgh 900 walking parade yesterday with the Victorian School Room at Heart of Newhaven. Fantastic to see so many different countries and cultures represented.

Visited Dundee today to have a tour around @noc.ac.uk RSS Discovery (2012). Loved the passion & knowledge of the staff who are doing such important work to help understand what is happening in our oceans.

Attended First Minister's Questions today at Scottish Parliament. Strict rules for conduct in the public gallery whilst MSPs act like unruly children at times.

Excellent news, not making the schemes permanent would have been a backward step for active travel in Edinburgh.

Damp morning for working on the boat cleaning up along the Shore and Coalie Park with @wolct.bsky.social Plastic chairs, traffic cones and a tyre pulled out along with the usual litter. Fox, a jumping fish and jellyfish spotted.

Fascinating afternoon watching pours of iron and bronze into moulds at the Edinburgh Sculpture Workshop. Going back tomorrow to see the moulds opened up.

Had an interesting time listening to the show being recorded, yet another book to be added to the list.

I'm not able to make this tomorrow night but I hope there's a good turnout as we need all the relevant authorities to understand that more needs to be done to make cycling safer in Edinburgh.

Arthur's Seat fire visible from Newhaven which means it's spreading east along the south facing slopes. Hoping that there's no casualties and thinking of all those involved in fighting the fire. 🤞 for the forecast rain tonight.

Visited Innerleithen today, letter I in our AtoZ bus challenge. Went on a guided tour of Robert Smail's Printing Works which was fascinating.

24 hours later than planned thanks to Storm Floris, we're at Camley Street Natural Park waiting for our train home. Always love spending a little time here before braving King's Cross station.

Lovely day catching up with friends and having a wee sail on their boat from Bray Marina down to Windsor.

Finally visited the Victoria and Albert Museum for the first time. Concentrated on the Medieval & Renaissance galleries and was especially taken by the Troyes Altarpiece.

Another cycle along the Thames, this time from London Bridge to Westminster. I just love being able to ride in the city on segregated lanes, we need much more of them in Edinburgh.

Enjoyed our ride from Erith to Greenwich along the Thames today. Industrial landscapes, the Thames barrier & the Cutty Sark some points of interest on the way.

Went to Westminster Abbey for the sung Eucharist this morning. It was lovely to hear the Ripon Cathedral choir sing given that we spent time with friends on Saturday who were married at Ripon.

Always great to visit Eltham Palace, beautiful art deco interiors and a fabulous great hall restoration. My wife's favourite @englishheritage.bsky.social property.

Had a lovely day trip to the seaside on Wednesday visiting Broadstairs and catching up with old friends over a leisurely lunch.
