Our newest preprint is out now! Great work by Dr Robin Bartolini on how "Macrophages drive inguinal fat pad and lymph node remodelling in response to peripheral inflammation."

Macrophages drive inguinal fat pad and lymph node remodelling in response to peripheral inflammation.
Adaptive immune responses are intensely energy-dependent and rely on a local source of fuel-producing molecules which have been proposed to be derived from fat pads in which mammalian lymph nodes are ...

It’s been such a pleasure working as part of
@crgglasgow.bsky.social
So many amazing colleagues, collaborators and friends over the years, thanks everyone! And how to better prepare for my next adventure as Wales Applied Virology Unit (WAVU) lecturer than with this amazing present from them.

Not all chemokine signaling is about cell migration! In mouse erythroblasts, CXCL12-bound CXCR4 enters the nucleus to control gene transcription, trigger calcium bursts, and drive red blood cell formation—especially enucleation. 🔗

So excited to share our first neuro focused paper from the lab, we show that CXCL4 (PF4) is transported into the brain by proteoglycans within the endothelial glycocalyx and that GAG binding also mediates the pro neurogenesis effects of CXCL4.

Inflammatory chemokine receptors CCR1, CCR2, CCR3 and CCR5 are essential for an optimal T cell response to influenza.
Inflammatory chemokine receptors CCR1/2/3/5 (iCCRs) play an important role in the recruitment of immune cells involved in innate immune functions and orchestrating the adaptive immune response. Here w...

Share all your papers!!! Give descriptions so people will engage. Scientists should not rely on pubmed and talks alone to share their information.
