I was very proud to introduce the role of records and archives as active agents for #TransitionalJustice at the 4th International #CulturalPropertyProtection course at the UN Training School Ireland. The paper's main case study was #Syria and the records exposing the brutality of the Assad regime.

Interesting perspective on the two terms of the Irish president Michael D Higgins, which end tonight. Perhaps the most popular Irish man in Ireland, he has used his office to speak for the nation & for social justice. His successor has big shoes to fill, & is also a socialist. A good read:
