I visited the apartment building ICE raided on Tuesday today. Story to come, but you can walk right in. Half of the apartments have no doors on them. Children's stuff abandoned in some flats. *Citizen* residents told me they were arrested and held for hours in zipties. This is America

I still can't get over the surreal experience of watching Trump effectively telling all our generals he is going to order them to kill American citizens in my city in a speech that he also stopped midway through to spend 5 minutes explaining how he is so smart for walks down stairs slowly.

Certiorari "before judgment" is how
#SCOTUS
takes up a full appeal *before* the intermediate federal courts have heard it. It used to be exceedingly rare. For instance, there wasn't a *single* grant of such expedited review b/w August 2004 & February 2019. This is the *23rd* such grant since then.

Israel had already occupied Gaza City and forced its population out - in late 2023. The difference this time is that Israel pledges loud and clear to destroy the city in its entirety, and not to allow the population back. This is what it makes this occupation into a crime against humanity.
