Wow! This read-along of the NYT moment-by-moment leading to the murder of Alex Pretti should shake everyone awake. He was a Good Samaritan. Agents fired at least ten shots in roughly five seconds. DHS and Pam Bondi claim Pretti approached them armed and intent on a “massacre.”

Does anyone get the feeling they unloaded ten shots to make sure Pretti could never live to tell the tale? Same with Renee Good. The first two shots were non-lethal. It was the third shot into her left temple from the side of the car that killed her, according to the autopsy.

Looks like the guy had a gun tucked in his belt on his back and the guy in the gray jacket, took it out and ran away before the first shot was fired. Then ICE open fired after the guy was on the ground posing no threat

BlueSky won’t let me share the video, but you can see one of the ICE agents rip a gun out of this man’s waistband *before* the shooting starts. From this angle, it’s hard to see how this was anything but an execution, unless simply carrying a gun is now illegal in America.

This is apparently on X. I have a few concerns: 1) why is DHS sending photos of (alleged) evidence that should be in a secure chain of custody that is now lying on a car seat??? and 2) being armed does not on its own justify the use of deadly force — there has to be evidence he was trying to use it
