Because of the National driver register, since their licenses are suspended, trans folks cannot move to another state and get a new license until they remove the suspension on their existing Kansas license. They can't even escape this by moving to another state.

Let me say this: There's a fairly high chance that a court will take a look at this and stay the law and you will forget about the fact that the Kansas Legislature tried to criminalize nearly every trans person in the state. That will be a mistake.

And those of us who haven't moved yet have backup plans for if and when they come to our states.

You also need a valid ID to rent a Uhaul, get a new job, get an apartment, open a new bank account, etc. This effectively imprisons trans people in Kansas.
