Charlie had a vet visit today, thankfully he only needed a couple shots and no bloodwork. Looks like he might be chronic with the mouth ulcers like old man Percy my elderly cat that passed last year. But at least I was able to get Charlie insured before diagnosis. He put on a pound too!

Admitted to the hospital last night. Antibiotics are working. Hand still swollen but color is so much better this morning

At the emergency room as a precaution. Roommate’s cat had a temper tantrum and chomped my drawing hand a bit too deeply. Swelling got worse and having some fever/chills so decided to get medical attention. I’m the next to get a treatment room.

I will take photos of Percy’s clay paw print. I got it back yesterday. They also gave me more ink prints and a vial of Percy’s fur. 🥲 I’ll photograph all that and the lovely card they sent me.

Took Miss Lady to the vet. She might have a uterine infection from giving birth prematurely. Expensive lady 234 bucks! But I got her this far and I’m not giving up on her. She got her meds and is home resting.

Lucy’s appointment didn’t go well. She’s not healing properly so I have to keep her even more confined, only wet food, little to no water, and a little kibble here and there. She’s in her cat carrier crying for me. Another terrible week ahead for the both us. 😓

Lucy’s vet appointment is the 1st of three I have coming up. One for her and one for Miss Lady and one for Oliver.

At the vet for her follow up from last week’s surgery. It’s been a horrible week so send good vibes we get good news for her today

My sweet old man Percy crossed the rainbow bridge today.

My kooky Lucy Goose. Lucy and her brother Linus were the first kittens I’ve hand raised from birth. She got all the brain cells. Linus is the silliest cat and yes he does have a beloved blanket just not in the same way cartoon Linus has his 😂

Lucy Goose is at her vet getting her spay surgery. I have her recovery soft-crate all set up. I’m not taking any chances with her post surgery recovery. She’ll be confined to her soft-crate until her vet gives the all clear. I love my little kooky girl.

Sadly the littlest kitten, our roommate called Sarah, passed away today. She was just too small. She fought hard though. The rescue has video of Sarah, and bigger littermate Stardust, in their incubator being lovingly and gently petted, so she won’t be forgotten. Stardust is doing well.

Well we lost the second kitten. Don’t have high hopes for the first kitten born as it was hard to get it to latch. The last kitten born is bigger and has been nursing. And Miss Lady has been cuddling with it more than the first kitten. She kind of forgot about it.

Pretty sure she’s done but not sure. We switched off snuggling the babies when she’s bathing herself and the kitten get chilly quickly. 2 little kittens bottoms in view. Sadly a 3rd kitten was stillborn.

Miss Lady has been in labor this evening. One tiny kitten so far. She’s been sleeping and bathing herself. Still waiting for more kittens. I’ve been texting with a gal who runs a rescue who’s been keeping me from freaking out lol.

Took Miss Lady to the vet. She’s sniffly still and for sure pregnant, she’s older than 5 probably closer to 7 years old. Got a prescription and going to schedule a bloodwork/FIV test follow up just couldn’t afford it today. She’s going to meet her soon to be pet mom on the 1st! 😁

I’ve had red hair, platinum blond hair, red with blond streaks ( Bowie not Spice Girls style) I’ve had blond with black ends, cotton candy pink, deep blue, bright blue, black. Now it’s just a boring shade of dark blond/brown with grey sprinkled in.

Old Miss Lady is much better dry eyes, just a little sneezing. She ate breakfast, and used her little box! If all goes well she has her forever home too, with a local friend whose elderly cat needs a companion.

After a worrisome 24 hours Old Miss Lady Ree aka Blaze is feeling and looking much better. No goopy eyes! She’s annoyed by my use of flash lol She’s more active. She’s sneezy but perking up again. The rescue is full and can’t take her. I put feelers out though. She’s NOT going back outside!

I caught her! This wily old lady thwarted me all summer/fall trying to catch her after her last litter in my storage closet. The cold finally got to her and she let me scoop her up and bring her in. She’ll go to a rescue who will get her medical care and a home. She deserves to have a better life.
