I was reading the latest issue of Love & Rockets (issue #17) and was amazed to recognize a deep cut from L&R lore...a flashback story appearance from "Handsome," a character who had only appeared previously in Jaime Hernandez' story from the 1988 benefit anthology "Strip AIDS USA."

A classic Sal Buscema page from a relatively overlooked comic: Super-Villain Team-Up #2, with Namor reacting to the death of Betty Dean. Namor has seldom looked scarier.

Farewell to the legendary Sal Buscema. I'm very grateful to have had the chance to get a sketch from him during an online commission opportunity about 8 years ago. As a huge fan of Buscema's Captain America run, I requested a headshot of Sharon Carter.

Justice would be Pretti Good right now. (I know the wordplay is hardly original, but the sentiment bears repeating.)
