When Masha Ivashintsova died in 2000, she left behind boxes of belongings and memories, and over 30,000 negatives and undeveloped film. Much like Vivian Maier she hid her photographic talents from the world, never showing her work or considering herself an artist.

Freelance illustration gigs drying up. Ad agencies using Midjourney instead of hiring human artists. Costume design turned over to AI wholesale. Good work vanishing. These are the stories of working visual artists, who describe losing jobs, wages, and hope as their clients and bosses embrace AI.

The United States dropped an atomic bomb named “Little Boy”, on the town of Hiroshima in Japan. This tricycle belonging to 3 years and 11 months old Shinichi Tetsutani who was riding outside his house in Hiroshima when the atomic bomb was detonated over the city on August 6th, 1945.

What more do we have to see before the world does something to end this suffering? This is August 12 2025, not 1941. Starvation was a central strategy in the Nazi genocide against the Jews. Hitler had long been aware of the power that lay in controlling the food. There is a massive irony here.
