That's why I usually spent more time researching, getting the right refs together, working on the sketch than working on the final piece. Exceptions prove the rule: depending on style, size and amount of detail, but don't be fooled: clean line, flat colors can be more unforgiving than anything else.

Before becoming the fantastic designer we know, Ron Cobb (Alien, Total Recall, The Last Starfighter, Aliens, Back to the Future, The Abyss, Rocketeer, Space Truckers, Firefly...) was a cartoonist in the late 1960s. With the same talent.

The thing about constantly pursuing realistic and "better" graphics is that in 2002 there was this little GameCube game called "Resident Evil" a remake of a tragically unknown PS1 game you see... And... That's still the most gorgeous looking game even today. We peeked 25 years ago!

I just finished the first volume of EDEN and, wow! What a ride! Cool philosophical parts, calm panels, visually stunning, and brutal action, too! I'm really surprised I didn't know about it before, and even more so that there hasn't been an anime adaptation yet. It's perfect for animation! 😍

It's all smoke and mirrors to woo the investors. It has nothing to do with the gamers. Investors don't care about the details or how it works or what affect it has on the development, just that it's a shiny new feature to add value to a company.
