One of the promises I made myself a hot minute ago is that I would never let public pressure dictate who I associate with ever again. If someone is showing up for me and my people and isn’t eating babies, I don’t give a solitary fuck what other people say about them. The internet is a dung-heap.

I’ve had a similar experience, which is why I really don’t do bits or playful replies with my friends online anymore. We have group chats and texts for that now. I figured out sometimes people treat the online interactions they observe like it’s all content to consume and weigh in on.
