Star Trek fans in Canada know that Saturday, Sept 6, 2025 marks the 59th anniversary of the Canadian premiere of the original Star Trek, created by Gene Roddenberry.

He played Commodore Stone in Court Martial, he voiced many movie trailers, notably for Jaws, and he was was Canadian. Percy Rodriguez was a lucky man.

Happy (early) Star Trek Day! Here in Canada, TOS premiered two days earlier than in the US.

This pre-matte footage from "Menagerie" allows us a good look at the corner of Soundstage 10, a.k.a. the "Planet Set". If you look closely, the actress' starting mark can be seen below her feet.

Celebrating Star Trek producer Robert H. Justman, who would have been 99 today (July 13). Justman's production genius was one of the key factors in the success of the original series, especially in the face of crushing deadlines and even more crushing budgets. --

“tell me your most minor star trek opinion. something that would have like a 0.2% effect on canon if changed.” All starships should have two warp engines. Not one, not three, not four — two. It always made more sense to me for warp fields and it’s better aesthetically.
