the "my body is a machine that turns steeply discounted steam games into unplayed games" meme gets circulated every single steam sale for a reason. most people could just play through their unplayed games for a year and never buy a new aaa game.

there are so, SO many indie games being released constantly that are made at every stage by human creativity and ingenuity. there are an inconceivable number of games already out there from before generative ai got pushed onto larger studios. more than you can ever possibly play in your life.
