Been crossing off a lot of bucket list games lately. Finished Snatcher last night. Fantastic game that jumpscared me multiple times and it’s definitely not for the faint of heart! I would have been really freaked out by it as a kid but appreciate it as an adult.

I know that I’m depressed but the idea of getting medicated for it repulses me because being depressed, horrified, and outraged at what’s going on right now is the only sane response. I don’t want to see people getting murdered and feel nothing because I might as well be dead myself at that point.

I always get nightmares when I’m stressed. I’ve had 3 in a week if that says anything about my current stress level. 😞 This impending massive snowstorm is not helping.

Well, I must say, I wasn’t expecting to get a $143 refund on my wisdom tooth surgery that I paid $180 for, but I will take it!!!

My anxiety is off the charts this week, and I have so much to do today. 😞

I hope 2026 is kind to us all

2025 was a really hard year for me: 2 surgeries, 9 fillings, daily assaults on my human rights as a trans person, lots of work stress. I’m hoping for less of all of that this year.

2025 was the first year I didn’t write at least one novel in about 15 years. My goal for 2026 is to start writing again.

Started out 2026 as I intend to continue it: with a nap.

Finished Lunar last night. I never beat it before. I really miss that era of optimistic RPGs. I don’t care if it’s not considered high art or whatever, pump that stuff in my veins. Friendship, love, and hope. Never needed those vibes more.

It’s been almost 6 months since my cat passed away and I still think about him all the time. Grief’s such a lonely thing, though. A lot of people online seem to buy into religious-adjacent beliefs around pet death and I just… don’t. Which is kind of me and faith in a nutshell, really.

Especially when a lot of that stuff is repeated content or time wasting fetch quests and challenges that exist only to hit a length goal.

Reading has been so difficult for me lately. I either lose interest, can’t relate to the characters, or encounter something really upsetting that makes me want to throw my device.

I went back to work for two whole days and caught a cold. 😞

Couldn’t sleep so repaired my husband’s kitchen aid mixer at 5am. I have a personal relationship with that machine, having repaired it twice.

Wisdom tooth surgery in the morning and I am super nervous.

Not me, leaving my least favorite task (asking for a favor) until the last minute and now being in a bind because nobody can do it.
