I don’t think people realize how spread out Maine’s population is. It’s the root of many of our challenges. However, it may also do two things in the current climate: 1, make outsiders stick out vividly (& I don’t mean ‘new Mainers’ as we call them) and 2, make hitting quotas challenging.

Hearing ICE is running plates in Maine as a predicate for pulling over vehicles. Also hearing about entering plates of ICE watchers into their Palantir database. Sounds like they're struggling to hit their numbers.
