NEW: A federal court ruled in our case that the Trump administration must provide bond hearings to people detained by ICE. Denying people the chance to seek freedom during immigration proceedings and separating them from their families, communities, and jobs is not only cruel – it’s against the law.

BREAKING: Gov. Mills announced she will allow LD 1971 to become law, limiting the use of Maine resources to support the president's mass deportation agenda. She also repealed a 2011 executive order that required all state officials to cooperate with federal immigration authorities.

“No one should be in danger of losing their rights because of the color of their skin,” Coffin Babb added. “We’re all people and we need to stand up for each other. We’re neighbors.”

FILED: We're in court again to protect Maine people’s voting and privacy rights. Trump is attempting to force Maine to disclose its unredacted voter file – which includes sensitive personal information like parts of social security and driver's license numbers – ignoring state and federal law.
