The governor's staff responded to my letter about changing the WA state flag and name. They did not give me a real response. They sent a generic message with a packet for children. I'm going to learn about making petitions! I'll need a lot of help! #WashOutWashington

This USA Pluto return cycle is really digging up the dirt from early America, in addition to destroying so much today.

I admit, I have been to Mt. Vernon, toured it in 8th grade. I walked the grounds, grasped the size. I believe I remember reading of a slave house staff, I did not understand somehow there were 140 more than I thought at a time. It was obviously a plantation. We have let this fester far too long.

My dad found me an article today. I read it and learned that Washington had 150 slaves!!! He also moved his slaves around to prevent them from being freed when they should have been. His wife helped! They tried to give people away as presents! We shouldn't celebrate him! Let's #WashOutWashington

Our flag is bad and the name is pointless. Salish with a nice rainbow sunset with a prominent Mt Tahoma flag would be nice.

I think a name change is difficult for many people, but to keeping the postal abbreviation would make it the easiest transition. Maybe West A___? Not sure what would be a good A name. And I like the uniqueness of the green flag, but almost anything on the green background would be an improvement.
