Historically, Housing Choice Voucher Holders have had difficulty finding a unit in the private rental market. AB 282 breaks down some of those barriers so that families can find homes sooner. Thank you to my witnesses for helping me get this bill out of Assembly Judiciary Committee this morning.

Such joy being able to welcome the Community Action Board of Santa Cruz County to the Assembly Floor. CAB does incredible, life changing work in Santa Cruz County and beyond. I sat down with them yesterday and learned about 46 tiny houses that families in my district will soon be able to call home.

Nurse Practitioners often care for patients up to their death, but are unable to sign their death certificate. Delays have significant impacts on a family during the grieving process. Such was the story shared by Surani Kwan, who testified in support of my bill, AB 583, that looks to change that.
