A blackbird took over an old nest in our garden. She's very skittish compared to the last one and everytime I open the back door she flies off the nest even though I'm nowhere near her. Today I caught a quick glimpse and three bald heads with open beaks looked up. Amazingly her eggs have hatched!

Update on the rhubarb...it continues to be a beast!

I've been researching polytunnels and greenhouses a lot today and now im back where I started...I'll just purchase what I had before, as it still fits the bill.

Ugh, what a day for appalling weather. Lost my polytunnel at lunchtime. It's lasted 7yrs and was well pegged down but alas off it went, over the fence and landed in the front garden. It could have been a lot worse, although my germinated veggie seeds don't agree.

A really nice evening walk in my village in which the Merlin App manged to pick up 18 different birds in less than qtr of a mile. Plus an extra sighting of the Kingfisher which I haven't seen for over a year. Delighted.
