Every now and then I do special stuff only for people that I've had exceptional experiences with at events. I like to think of it as positive reinforcement for good behavior. I think maybe in community driven spaces picking favorites can be good.

It kind of sucks having your primary hobbies be gaming and anime. Almost all of the discourse is lead by socially reclusive people, or literal children. For the most part I hate reading seeing takes about nearly any media I consume. I gotta get into some more positive, mature hobbies.
