A while back I made a "textbook" zine about zine folding. AKA breaking the preconception that a zine has to be done in that 8 page manner! Mostly encouraging different folding techniques, and light paper engineering!

Self-publishing is a power, it's a gift. You can put whatever you want into your little 'zines and minicomics, absolutely nobody can tell you no. Tell your story, don't worry if it's "good enough", make it anyway.

This very precarious pile of boxes means Salford Zine Library has come to the end of it's temporary stay at Salford University. We will be doing some behind the scenes work on the collection (starting with some better boxes) while we work on an exciting long-term plan for the library ✏️

The Zine-O-Mat (run by zinester Erin Fae) is a zine vending machine found adjacent to the zine library, or ‘Zine Zone’, in Auckland’s Central City Library. It sells mini #zines, made by local Aotearoa New Zealand zinesters, including marginalised, queer and POC voices, at just $2 each ✨

I'm not great at flowcharts but when you're printing zines on a budget I think we all go through this process.
