If you tell me to compromise on people's rights for some nebulous greater good I will always say Yours First Then. I am a Black man. That means I am both marginalized and privileged. As a marginalized person encroaching on the rights of others offends me. As a privileged person it also offends me.

Wonderful work @philipb-h.bsky.social I'm looking forward to watching this series. We need to be looking at other countries at forefront of climate change & actions taken to avert the worst impacts. So much to learn from "developing" countries that can be far more developed in their way of thinking.

This just demonstrates the unfortunate consequence of US political hegemony under the rule of current administration. Disastrous & self-serving influence at the behest of unprincipled allies & corporate power. A regime in support of the elite few domestically & globally.
