After lots of fiddling I managed to get an old raspberry pi 3 to run #Jellyfin (I'm not that great with this kind of thing/linux). Not sure it's going to be powerful enough to run everything as I've got a usb hard drive connected and it's doing a low voltage warning. Still, it works, so go me!

Last day of my short holiday today, then I'm back to work. I really think I need to move departments or get a new job this year. Customer service is a massive number of responsibilities with less pay that other teams get for similar work. There's a temp opening in tenancy I might look into.

I'm looking for a new TV, but there's a real research element that'll need to go into this one. Don't want anything that throws adverts at me, and no built in "smart" stuff that's going to become obsolete in five mins. Want big, connectable, cheap. So naturally I'll now spend days overanalyzing.

Leftovers lunch. Bubble n squeak (made with some odd ingredients), coleslaw, fried egg, fried ham. Takes my mind off stuff when I'm #cooking, so it helps a bit to make something.

Being a parent is hard work, and even more so with neuro-divergent kids. I'm now feeling depressed after having to take a tablet away from my child (8) because they chose to blank me for 10mins of conversation then got angry when I followed through with the punishment I warned about.

My #foxoftheday jumped out a bush making me jump, then they ran to the back of the garden. Got a little bit of footage of them buggering off. I would normally welcome a visit, but my cats were out in the garden and we don't need them getting into a scuffle.

I will never stop shouting from the rooftops about this film. It's pure Christmas magic. The animation is great, the story mixes elements of Tim Burton magic and the heartwarming stuff you need at this time of year. Always makes me cry, but any film about loss does that to me 🥹 Go watch Klaus!
