Seven Ukrainian children taken by Russian occupation authorities have been returned home from the Kursk and Moscow regions, as well as the Republic of Mari El. The children are from Kherson and Kharkiv regions. Notably, Melania Trump was reportedly involved in efforts to secure their return.

Ukraine’s General Staff confirmed a strike on Russia’s Nevinnomyssk Azot chemplant, one of its largest producers of key components for explosives and munitions. A production unit was hit. The plant supplies much of Russia’s defense industry. Separately, 60 Russian troops were hit near Dokuchaievsk.

A fire broke out at the Temryuk port in Russia’s Krasnodar region following a reported drone strike. Initial reports suggest a gas terminal was hit. Video from the scene shows flames in the port area after the drone visit.

A Ukrainian drone strike hit the Syzran oil refinery overnight, sparking a fire. The facility, processing 8.5 million tons of crude per year, is one of Russia’s key energy assets supporting its war machine. According to local reports, the damage is severe.

A drone hit the Grozny City complex early this morning, blowing out the facade of several upper floors in a tower that hosts key Chechen government offices. The blast occurred just down the road from Kadyrov’s palace. Russian channels blame intercepted UAVs, but the damage suggests a direct hit.

Mykhailo Fedorov is set to replace Andriy Yermak as head of the Ukrainian President’s Office. Yermak resigned after an anti-corruption raid and mounting pressure. Fedorov, Ukraine’s digital reformer, is currently First Deputy PM and formerly served as Minister of Digital Transformation.
