Ukrainian Forces liberate Otradne village in Kharkiv region The 129th Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces has fully liberated the village of Otradne in Ukraine’s Kharkiv region. Assault units, drone operators and artillery were deployed to drive Russian forces out of Otradne, according to a statement by Ukraine’s 129th Separate Heavy Mechanized Brigade posted on Facebook . The brigade said that after coordinated action, Ukrainian troops successfully cleared the settlement of enemy forces and restored full control over the area, including surrounding territories. A total of 22 square kilometers in the Kharkiv region have been liberated, with Russian losses reported at 56 personnel. Otradne is situated along the Southern Slobozhansky sector of the front. According to Ukraine's General Staff, Russian troops launched 14 assaults against Ukrainian positions in this area on May 14 alone-all of which were repelled. The fighting took place near Volchanski Khutory, Liman, Starytsia, and toward Ternove, Radkivka, and Izbytske. The neighboring Northern Slobozhansky and Kursk directions have seen less intense combat. Ukrainian General Staff reported that Russian forces attempted three attacks there on May 14, all of which Ukrainian troops were able to repel.
