We went out for a walk with Solomiia, but the air raid siren started, so now we’re going back home.

When veterans of the invasion compete under the national flag of the aggressor state, it looks like an attempt to make war seem “acceptable” through sport. Sport cannot whitewash aggression.

About 20 houses were damaged as a result of the overnight russian attack on the Vinnytsia region. Windows and doors were blown out, and roofs were damaged. In some buildings, walls were cracked.

The UN General Assembly adopted the resolution “Support for a Lasting Peace in Ukraine.” The resolution calls for an immediate ceasefire and reaffirms the need to respect Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.

I believe in a future where my children no longer wake to the sound of sirens. I believe in justice. Ukraine will stand. Because it stands for life. And life is always stronger.

On February 24, 2022, it was early morning when we woke up to the sounds of explosions. At first, there was no panic, just a kind of shock, a strange slowness. We couldn’t comprehend that russia had attacked us. We didn’t understand what was happening and simply didn’t know what to do.

Mom baked a cake. Even though I’m already a mom myself, whenever I come to my parents’ home, it’s a chance to feel like a child again. I don’t remember who once told me these words: we are children as long as our parents are alive. Maybe that’s really true.

This is the cherry tree in my parents’ yard. It’s probably my favorite tree. It feels especially cozy to sit under it in the summer when evening falls.

My mom knits these kinds of rugs for the home from old clothes, so feet won’t be cold in winter.

We arrived at my parents’ house, and it instantly came alive. Seva organized a chess tournament with grandfather, while Solomiia decided she urgently needed grandfather too, dragging him away 😂 Solomiia quickly scattered her toys around, because Grandma’s house was just a little too tidy 😂
