I’m excited to share that **The Ruby on Rails Podcast is coming back**. I’ve had the privilege of taking over the show, and I’m working to relaunch it with a steady cadence of conversations about the people, projects, ideas, and stories shaping the Rails community today.

Just had my first open-source contribution merged in quite a long time. Thank you @chael.codes for your talk at @blueridgeruby.com. It really did a lot to motivate and guide me through that process.

Around two years ago at RubyConf, after all of the scheduled Lightning Talks were finished, there was some extra time and so the mic was opened up to anyone that wanted to give an ultra-short 60 second talk on a topic.

And one of my other new Ruby friends is @thomascannon.me. Absolutely fabulous talk at the conference, and delightful conversations over lunch about board games, books, and Deep Space 9. Plus Cindy from Confreaks photobombing us.

@chael.codes is one of my new Ruby friends. We’ve been working on the program committee for RubyConf for a little while now, but we finally got to meet in person. And she’s awesome!
