Well, so this is a thing. I certainly won't be buying anything on DrivethruRPG and Roll20. I need to consider things of mine for sale there - I'll certainly be pulling anything where I have sole rights to dIstribute. I really hope some who have more weight than me bring some pressure.

At about the age of 14 I wrote a science fiction RPG called Insterstellar. The only other RPG I'd seen or played was D&D. It was skill-based, d20 roll under and handwritten on 30ish sheets of A4 paper. We played it twice. I'm sure it went wherever stapled wodges of paper go to die over 30 years ago

I don't like the confusion between "death of the author" (a useful concept from literary criticism), and "separating the art from the artist" (finding value in works of art by awful people). Separating the two when the awful person uses money made from the art do awful things isn't really possible.

I had Woodstock in California and Woodstock in Oxfordshire confused until I was 23, and was correspondingly confused about where the Woodstock music festival took place.

Japan has a lot of interesting history and folklore, so using the Hidden World of Japan in Liminal TTRPG is a cool idea. For example, in Japan, Fae might be seen as yokai, and there are unique styles of magic such as Onmyōdō. Personally wrote a small supplement for Japan. Looks pretty cool, right?

All three of Adrian Tchaikovsky's Children of Time books have interesting things to say about sentience. I'm very fond of the corvids in Children of Memory, but there's individuals/species in all three books where sentience is an interesting question, and explored.

Top tip to turn off the AI overview in Google searches assuming you find it as annoying and anti-useful as I do: Swear at it. Add the word "fuck" or similar to your next few searches. And the AI nonsense doesn't even immediately come back after ceasing to swear. There's a moral to this somewhere.

I would judge, as mental health discussion is so often taboo, and the burst of bravery it takes to seek help, that mental health problems are underdiagnosed if anything. It took me ages to seek any help for depression, and from occasional discussions that's typical.
