gonna speak frankly about this: localization, especially good localization that does the players of that respective language right is expensive and time consuming, often prohibitively so. it's one of those asks that so easily gets dismissed as an easy add that they should do, but it's not

how about you try and make every single system fully functional in multiple languages, easily swappable, debugging each language version of the game to not be broken, and the localized text itself also capturing the same spirit of the original text while not detracting from being a good experience?

in reality, targeting so many localizations damages the quality control of all text if not given serious amounts of time and money, resources taken away from just *making* games itself. even if you have the resources toby has, it's not an easy commitment to make. doing it right is actually that hard
