Today would be Dr Kingās 97th birthday. A reminder; the holiday should be a day of direct action, not charity. Dr King called out the structures of inequality. When a white woman asked why Black people didnāt just clean up their own neighborhood, he made clear, āThat was the job of sanitation.ā
