Antlion (I think Brachynemurus sp.), Anza-Borrego Desert, CA. These lovely insects resemble dragonflies/damselflies, but are in another order, Neuroptera, with lacewings & owlflies. I'm an occasional crocheter, but recently I've been tempted to giving knitting another try. My previous attempts have been horror stories of dropped stitches, holes, poor tension, and miscounts. Yes, I'm trying to talk myself out of. No, I probably won't listen to myself. It's a common theme here.
