this is such a foul take particularly because the way algorithms work now specifically penalizes people who don't post constantly, and for those of us who only produce art once every few weeks or months that means we either post the same pieces over and over or fall into irrelevance. or both.

a very popular youtuber made a video about irish sweaters a while ago in which he erroneously conflated aran sweaters as being made from a specfic breed of wool. then someone in the comments said some shit about irish wool being coarse because of the climate.

we did this in 2020 too after the murder of George Floyd. the precinct 3 police station was NEVER rebuilt and it's being replaced with a democracy center. we even got a measure added to the ballot to defund or police department and we voted to approve it but it was vetoed. but here we are AGAIN.

one of my #resolutions for 2026 is to paint more clothing. you might not know it from my recent work but i love fashion & style and the only reason i haven't been including such things more is because of a long climb out of burnout. but here are some older examples:

there's this weird perception among less experienced artists or hobbyists that those of us who are highly "skilled" or experienced can't find value in art that isn't "up to par" with our own and let me tell you... that is bullshit lol i love other people's art WAY more than i love my own

and sometimes being an artist just means doing an insane amount of historical costuming research while simultaneously knowing nobody looking at the finished painting is going to have any idea
