Maybe a stupid question, but why is schematics for PCB design not code? For more advanced "PCBs" (read ICs) we use HDL and in the end if there is an MCU we code it. If it was "code" I'm wondering what amazing linters, CI, checks, integrated knowledge about parts, type safe modules ... could be done.

Here I started with learning openEMS to simulate an antenna, and now I'm writing a KiCAD plugin to setup the simulation directly there 😅 Why is a project never small?

Started my openEMS journey yesterday too see if I can I use it for antenna simulation instead of Ansys HFSS. From what I've seen on Twitter it should be doable. Started with a patch antenna that was quite easy. Now to try an IFA, with the final aim for a dual-band (868 MHz, 2.4 GHz) antenna.

Next project! A signal recorder for our radio tracing test bench. Made to analyze 32 radios in our product in parallel.

One week into "how hard can it be to implement DTLS 1.3" and I must say, the RFCs are awesome! The answer is though not very hard, just a lot of details to track :) Each step is nicely documented. Side note, it's only the PSK part I'm implementing with ECDHE.
