So grim. In the 1990s I visited China. The faculty there couldnât believe I designed my own courses. They kept asking the same question in different ways thinking I hadnât understood. I assumed that China would come to adopt Western freedoms, not US would adopt central control.

If I have learned one thing living in the UK for ~20 years, it is that British rearmament wonât happen because of the war in Ukraine or anything that Trump says; what matters is that the UK has been shown to be less capable than France in the current crisis. That will drive the politicians crazy.
