I see that @zeet.bsky.social thinks I'm a "grifter." Not sure what the basis for that is seeing how I don't take a commission or percentage for the millions of dollars I've raised directly for hundreds of Democratic candidates, but whatever.

Ironically, with Republicans letting the upgraded ACA tax credits expire, they really DO work the way most people THINK marginal income taxes do. If you earn even $1 more than 400% FPL, you lose eligibility for ANY assistance. In our case that means $1 over means paying $15,000 more next spring.

He’s right — Bezos pays barely any taxes at all right now, so doubling them won’t do much. We’ll need to increase them by at least an order of magnitude.

I’m not sure why this isn’t being mentioned more, but: IRS policy for 50 years has been that the sitting president & VP get audited every year, in an effort to reassure the public they’re not corruptly abusing the office to enrich themselves.
