The Summer Hikaru Died (both the manga and anime) has been scratching this itch I’ve been having for a story with mystery and supernatural elements and ahhhh! I just love it so much! And the character writing >>> The new episode was so good! Every episode they’ve put out has been a banger!

Got my flu and COVID vaccines yesterday and ngl, they kicked my ass. They really did a number on me, but I’m feeling way better today. Still glad I got them, especially since I’ll be doing a lot of school visits this month and the next.

Gallbladder removal surgery was a success! 🙌🏾 Had it earlier today, was able to go home afterwards and I’ve been taking it easy. I’m hoping this means an end to a long string of health issues it was causing me.

Got home from the hospital earlier today and have never been so happy to be back to my bed and cats. All the doctors, nurses and staff were so kind to me, but I was definitely feeling my sanity slip and the depression sit in.

I can’t wait until I’m no longer sick and out of the hospital so I can make art fully healthy. I simply cannot wait.

I miss Layaway. Definitely thought I’d get to experience it in my adulthood because I experienced it as a child watching my mom get us clothes and Christmas gifts that way so I was like “this is so smart, I’ll just do that when I’m grown, too!” 😔

Yes. My issue is I know how my stories end (or how I WANT all my stories to end), the struggle comes with the steps in getting there. That’s where I flounder and thus why so many of my stories aren’t done. That middle part has me like a car trapped in mud 😭

Finally reading ‘Since I Could Die Tomorrow’ and it follows a 42 year old single woman and her challenges with work, aging and her life desires moving forward. Read the bonus pages in the back from the creator and finding out she’s a 53 year old woman mangaka has made me love everything even more!

Having one of my friends say “you have a great manga collection” as I recommended and lent him books really did my soul good. I really felt like an esteemed librarian in that moment 😭

Did a zine workshop yesterday at a local library for teens and tweens and can confirm that young girls STILL love dragons.
