Heartbroken to learn of Alice’s passing. I looked up to her immensely, and I was so grateful for her patience, grace, creativity, & insight as a collaborator. I will miss her fierce kindness & her sharp wit so very much. I drew this portrait of us in 2021 for CommunityAsHome. Rest in power, Alice.

The past 5 years have definitely felt like I’m a baby deer learning how to walk in terms of my art career. I feel like I’ve been trying to find ways to get hired all over again, make myself known, survive and ultimately find what makes me wanna keep making art and stick around.

The Summer Hikaru Died (both the manga and anime) has been scratching this itch I’ve been having for a story with mystery and supernatural elements and ahhhh! I just love it so much! And the character writing >>> The new episode was so good! Every episode they’ve put out has been a banger!

Got my flu and COVID vaccines yesterday and ngl, they kicked my ass. They really did a number on me, but I’m feeling way better today. Still glad I got them, especially since I’ll be doing a lot of school visits this month and the next.
