Amongst all the other things that have happened this week, we are still in a partial government shutdown right?

The U.S. war on Iran is now estimated to cost $1 billion per day. Meanwhile Americans are told there’s no money for healthcare, hospitals, or basic social programs.

ICE has arrested and detained a Nashville journalist who reported stories critical of ICE. She’s married to a U.S. citizen and has been seeking asylum here after fleeing death threats in Colombia because of her journalism there. They’ve already sent her to Louisiana.

The reason we have “stupid rules of engagement” is to make sure we don’t bomb elementary schools.

Under Trump, the USA doesn't have money to fix our crumbling roads and bridges. We don't have money for child care or schools. The VA has eliminated over 10,000 health care positions due to lack of funding. But $1 billion a day for Trump's war of choice is no problem.

So far the war in Iran has cost an estimated $5.5 billion. That's roughly $1 billion per day. $41,666,667 per hour. $11,574 per second. People do not want this. They want a living wage. They want healthcare. They want to be able to afford a home. They want their basic needs met.

We need to pass a House rule or law that requires them to work a certain number of days to get paid. Since Mike Johnson took over these people hardly ever work. When they finally come back after weeks off they work 2 days and he sends them home for 2 more weeks. It’s ridiculous.

I thinks it’s only a matter of time before one of these countries we attack decides the local embassy isn’t enough of a target, and hones in on a target a little farther away. The US government thinks they want this war until this war comes home.

I’m not convinced that adolescent girls in Iran are the biggest threat to the United States security. In my opinion I’m pretty sure the United States government is the biggest threat to the United States right now.

I don’t think people realize it’s not just the people in the administration that will be punished, but the entire country will feel the consequences for this government’s actions in the future. All of Germany was held accountable after WWII, not just the Nazis.
