I'm a little disappointed in the Salisbury brothers on this one. I watched Gleaming the Cube then listened to your episode. Yes, Slater the skaters hair looked like Sum41, but after he dressed nice he looked just like Lance Bass!

One of the most wonderful and terrible things about writing is going down the rabbit holes. It's so great to learn, but it can take some very dark turns.

I don't give a shit what anyone else thinks of it. The Edgar Wright version of The Running Man is a really fun watch and...in all honesty...parts are better than the book.

Missed it yesterday, but listening to
@thekingcast.bsky.social
episodes in honor of Scott Wampler. Never met him, but feel like I know him like many others. Today while working definitely going to listen to the
@junkfoodcinema.bsky.social
episode on The Midnight Meat Train. Had me in tears laughing.

A day after The Late Show ended, Colbert hosted an episode of public access program Only In Monroe, reviving his 11-year-old gag. How bad is CBS/Paramount taking it? They issued copyright complaints for a show they don't own. 🤣 CBS would hate it if you watch here:

Re-watching Masters of Horror and one line made me laugh so hard. Season 2 Episode 8. "Everyone in this house is fuckin' crazy!" "Including you, young man. We're writers."

Finally got around to finishing Joe Hill's fantastic new book King Sorrow. Heart-Shaped Box is still my favorite, but he never disappoints. Now I can finally listen to the

episode of it!

Feeling emotional and writing those emotions can be the best therapy in the world. I've severely disappointed someone I love and I hope what I'm writing can help others not make the same mistake

Filmmakers say they won't watch a finished product after post production and move on to the next. I like it because it helps me see what I need to be better in.

Writer-types: what's a franchise you were born to write, but you never will? The Twilight Zone. Mostly for the twist endings.

Help a beloved Austin treasure. Tony is literally the guy who handed me my prescription sunglasses and said “Try these. I think they’ll look great.” One of the sweetest people I’ve ever met. If you can, toss a little in the hat or share. Thanks!

Met and talked with a "film person" who hasn't recorded anything in the last 2 years. I asked him if he needs any help on set even PA..."I use all my own people" is the answer I got. I bet half of them aren't near as passionate as me!

A place in Austin I will always promote is Juan in a Million. Juan is a very charismatic and nice guy. His son now runs the place and is one of the nicest people I've met. Support their business!

When you were making The Haunting of Hill House was there any inspiration from the movie Frailty especially dealing with the character of Theo?

So completely heartbroken about the passing of the absolutely iconic Catherine O’Hara. Thank you for a lifetime of laughs and unmatched character work. The ONLY reason I have to smile today is that I know somewhere up there John Candy is about to give you the biggest hug ever.

I absolutely love the show Landman. Being from Fort Worth I just have to ask one thing...why have they not filmed Billy Bob Thornton at Billy Bob's in the Stockyards??? And no he is not affiliated with the place.

This time of year is fucking hard. The holidays are a fertile ground for dark thoughts. Loneliness can drown you, even when you're surrounded by people. Take care of yourself. If you feel like you're drowning in darkness, please talk to someone. Friend, family, stranger. Anyone. You deserve love.

James Cameron can't lose at the box office. On a 400 million dollar budget (I'm sure things such as marketing doesn't go into that number) He almost made that number back the opening weekend. 88 million domestic and 345 million worldwide it will almost no doubt be in the top 10 of all time.

Generally I try to not mention when people pass except when talking to others in person because it's hard to deal with the hate filled comments of some online. The span of 5 days last week was rough. Rest easy to Rob Reiner and James Ransone who both brought me countless hours of joy watching film.

Even though it doesn't get talked about like it used to the saying was "work hard, play hard", but people like myself are different. It's work hard, then chill with a good book, movie, or TV Show.
