On a rainy night in Austin, finally got around to watching Guillermo Del Toro's Frankenstein. Out of all of the movies this year (which it's been a good year), this is hands down the best of the year!

Roofman was so much different than the trailers showed. Much more of an emotional piece than expected.

Even though it doesn't get talked about like it used to the saying was "work hard, play hard", but people like myself are different. It's work hard, then chill with a good book, movie, or TV Show.

So many terrifying and awesome movies released this year, but one of the ones I personally expect to be the best is the new Frankenstein from the brilliant Guillermo del Toro! That person will go down in cinema history as one of the best ever.

This has been a fantastic year for film! So many good ones, so many emotions. I believe we are going into a true creative renaissance again.

Holy shit...holy shit...I'm trying to digest Black Phone 2. @crobertcargill.bsky.social and Scott Derrickson and anyone else involved made a film which had so much more depth than a lot of people may realize.

I know I'm late to it, but They Look Like People is pretty amazing. The intensity it keeps throughout. Every writer, director, and editor should appreciate.

Never met the man, but it always seemed like Robert Redford was a friend to true Filmmakers. May he rest in peace.

The Long Walk was a fantastic movie. Some of the parts that went away from the book seemed necessary. If you go see it you will get emotional during at least 1 part. As @ericvespe.bsky.social said on @thekingcast.bsky.social bring tissues.

Please please please...and yes im begging...please let Alamo Drafthouse re-release In the Mouth of Madness. I will buy a ticket the second they go on sale. They showed the trailer before The Long Walk.

Really looking forward to The Long Walk this weekend. One of my absolute favorite books from @stephenking.bsky.social, and a friend of mine who is not like this at all said even he shed a tear. That's all I needed to hear.

The possibilities of traveling. Oh, the possibilities. Experiencing new areas and adventures. Seeing the history it may behold and the geek in me can't help but explore film locations.

Sometimes when going back "home" nothing changes. The same people, the same conversations, the same anger. Sometimes going back "home" you see people who are angry finally beimg humbled and realizing life isn't what they expected it to be.

Some lines should be left out because they are overused or talking directly to the audience. Trust your audience to be smart without a full explanation.

I've hit my pages and film editing time all week until today. The material from the script has really messed with my head. Im sure this has happened to others.

You never know what you might see to help your process. I saw a video from @jeffreyhoward33.bsky.social which made me utilize certain aspects in my scripts.

Haven't stopped thinking about The Life of Chuck since I left the theater tonight. So many levels to the film it will force a rewatch just to process it all. Fantastic job @mikeflanaganfilm.com
