Finally got the 1cc in ZeroRanger. Been a long time in the making. I had a few attempts when the game came out but somehow I got distracted and only decided recently to try again. It's still one of my favorite shmups. Replay in the replies.

Shmups look cool but... "I don't have the reflexes" Wrong "I don't have the dexterity" Wrong "I don't have the awareness" Wrong "I can't see the future" Wrong "I don't want to experience intense nonstop gameplay" Fair enough. But all the other things can be learned.

I wonder if it'll be like jumping into Season 2 after having watch Season 1 a while back, where I didn't know any of what's going on anymore.

In Touhou Makuka Sai: Fantastic Danmaku Festival 3, more people have 1cc'd the game than have played the tutorial. Probably not too unusual for shmups, but interesting. I looked at the cheevos because I felt I was done with the game already, but it looks like I missed entire mechanics somehow.

Touhou Fangame Fantastic Danmaku Festival Pt 3 is fun, but I think it might be a little easy on Normal compared to the other two. I mostly died because I pressed the wrong button to bomb and some of the gimmick stuff that Touhou games love to do. But not because of honest to Bullet Satan dodging.

scrolled through my timeline to find something else and also found this again. Decided I'll crack open a cold one and watch it. Just finished, still my favorite shmup 1cc vid. I love shmups and wholesome things. I sometimes wonder if slowbeef has ever showed this to his daughter.

Huh, I didn't know there were games that automatically add markers in steam's recording feature, as someone who regularly uses it, that's pretty cool and useful. Varyznes is so far the only game I've seen do this.

Damn, really? So few players? As far as shmup clears go that one seems on the easier side. Almost got it on my second attempt (lost my credit in the pre-final boss section, didn't get hit after, so it was really close) And I'm assuming hard is the "real" game.

The great thing about playing a lesser known indie shmup is that you can get your ass beat in stage 3 and still be 9th on the leaderboards (out of a total of 11) Play this game too and beat my score by simply finishing the game! I will continue playing, though.

The scoring modes in Bullet Hell Monday Black are somehow really fun, perfect to get some dodging in after a failed Hard mode clear attempt. Here's this mode where everything is a split second decision away from becoming a resource check.

Huh wow yeah, I know exactly what's going on and how to dodge that. You don't????? Weak.

I tried playing Nine Sols, and it was way too many words. Once I caught on to that I was just skipping, not reading, and I still think I did that more than actually play the game, and then the game hits you with the unskippable text and long unskippable animations. I don't think I'll be back. Peace.

Oh my god what a funny fucking shmup this is. Castle of Shikigami has a series of extreme modes that give enemies revenge bullets. This goes up to Extreme III which triples the spet of these. The best part, they don't simply fire revenge bullets, they shoot revenge patterns.

Finally found a reaction image for when I make a very funny joke and someone corrects me on one of the liberties I took to make it funnier, I've been waiting for something like this for a very long time. Finally, I can tell people I was actually being the funny one!!!

I finished Golden Axe Warrior for the Master System. It's basically what if Zelda on the NES got a sequel in the top-down style complete with people in secret caves who steal your money. Had a good time with it.
