Had a great time with Brave Rounds, a quite challenging normal mode, but not too bad for survival. The TLB is triggered by keeping your rank high, something I always find tricky in a shmup. Missed it a few times yesterday, but up early to get through for the true 1cc this morning 🤘

CW/ Arcade-type noise! I tried out some of the different ports of DFK BL Novice - switch, xbox360 & steam all play pretty nicely (shame the switch port has issues with lasers staying on screen…). Managed a few clears, not so great on the scoring yet though. Very addictive game this one!

Been playing through DoDonPachi Daifukkatsu Black Label Novice mode on the switch - it’s known to have issues with laser despawns & stuff. I didn’t trigger the Ex-Boss in this run & I was hoping to blame the port… sadly it was a me issue (missed a requirement somewhere). My best score so far tho 🤘

Trying out some games on my 3ds. Pushmo & Picross 3D round 2 are freaking excellent puzzle games so far, in the battle of the left field rpg-type games Project X Zone is hands down beating Inazuma Eleven 3 in terms of fun & generally getting on with it 😅 Gonna delve deeper on PxZ I think!

Recovering from injury means walking rather than running today, but I did get time to take in the scenery more. And I treat myself to an ice cream & coffee too.

Little pc quirk: if I leave my arcade stick plugged in & start it up, it won’t boot… until I unplug my arcade stick - then goes straight to the start up screen. And then it tells me off for unplugging a usb ‘drive’

After Zanac on nes, it made sense to me to jump forward to Zanac Neo on PS1. 3 years & a week since I cleared easy mode, finally got the normal 1cc. Had a little more trouble negotiating obstacles in this, but made it through on my 3rd attempt - enjoying my time in the compile space. #shmup #stg

10 to midnight, not beaten my high score from yesterday… just one more run. 1 hour & 7 mins later, eyes bleary, flailing around the screen dodging unseen patterns, wondering if this is the last boss, I land the killer shot. Zanac on NES defeated. Utterly exhausted & elated, what a rush 🤘
