I’m enjoying playing some older stgs/shmups via the MiSTer at the minute. Not relying on save states to practice the difficult bits makes the peril seem more perilous. However, also more frustrating if there are difficultly spikes. Managed a 2-all playing Override (PC engine), had a blast 🤘

Up early playing Override (pc engine) again this morning. Managed to get to S4 of loop 2, the final boss is a killer & resource drain - gonna go looking for safe spots or strats later, then maybe I’ll able to get a 2-all.

Love the tension the music creates at this point in Slap Fight MD Special version. So easy to lose track of a bullet! I managed to be super careful on the first loop to get a no death, then it all fell to pieces in the second loop. #stg #shmup #1all

In being slightly disappointed that I didn’t get the 2-All I kinda missed that I no-deathed loop 1 of Slap Fight MD. The aimed bullets make for easier dodging than is first apparent (at least for me) so once I locked in, focusing on the bullets it was a really fun one to dodge through 🤘

Catching up on some clears I’ve wanted for a while. Got the Slap Fight (MD) 1-all, super close to the 2-all too! Very good music (Koshiro), classic Toaplan aimed bullets, but with the ship speed to dodge (most of) them - made for a good time.
