For those of you wondering why more studios aren’t choosing alternatives to maya, such as blender, it’s not that easy. You have to spend the time to train artists, recreate rigs, models, almost the entire pipeline. This is a good way to explain it.

swapping programs is like swapping from oil paint to watercolor.... and if you have a full supply of oils, a team who specializes in oils, and a client that is expecting oil paintings in a few months.. we cant just be reprogrammed! it takes time to make new workflows, muscle memory and nuances
